I'd love to share with y'all why people like me who work at total wine reccomend wines outside of the big names. First off is price. We want to have the best prices so that people who shop with us are drawn to us for the best prices on those brands you can find anywhere. Secondly we want you to try something new. Total Wine is a privately held company and we believe supporting the same across the industry. If you shop with us, you'll see the Winery Direct tags. Those are producers we have close relationships with us. Other business could sell the WD items, but they chose not to because they only want to sell the big names. Lastly, a lot of those brands that are big are owned by rich people and hedge funds. I'd rather give my money to producers who work for themselves and are not beholden to corporate owners.
