I bought a 1934 bottle of tawny port during my travels. It was early on in my travel that I noticed it was slightly leaking. I'm still currently traveling, so there's not much I can do other than just hope for the best and accept it is what it is.
It's not leaking enough to have a drip coming out, but touching the seal on the top will show some liquid coming out. It's been like this for 2 weeks already.
I'm curious though if there's anything I can do once I get back home to try and preserve it best as I can.
Maybe tightly wrap the top in some sort of plastic seal that they use on bottles to prevent it from evaporating? Should I try something as extreme as dipping the top in wax?
I know some may say just open it and drink it as well, but that would be my last resort and I was really hoping to wait before doing that.
