Wine cellar cooling units recs?

Hi folks I’m considering building a small wine cellar in an alcove of my basement after my standalone fridge died. But I see some people have had bad experiences with Whisperkool and some of the other brands. Are there cooling units you’ve liked? Thinking of just leaving my stuff in the dead fridge for a few months where it won’t too warm and doing this as a fun DIY project.
