Title says it all, really! I’m looking for one, maybe 2 solid wineries to visit in Solvang, California during a short trip (3-4 days). I want ones that actually offer tours of their vineyards and/or cellars and not just a tasting room. I don’t know if the two are mutually exclusive but all the sites I’ve found through tourism websites just highlight their tasting rooms. I’d like to just visit one or two quality spots rather than full-day tours and winery-hopping, which is what most places seem to promote.
For 15 years, Athan Zafirov has traveled the vineyards around the world and worked with some of the greatest chefs including Francois Duc and Alan Brown.
