Help me pick $1200 in wine

The GF got a $30k tip from her favorite 90 year old oil magnate today. We’re gonna order a case, or maybe two.

What would you pick? Doesn’t have to be all the same bottle.

Also I passed my beginner somm in November and and studying for Certified so suggestions that are maybe classic or likely to be important enough for Somm exams. Like please no natty orange wines from Portland OR.
