Over the last couple of months I have tried a variety of white wine to find what I like. I have always bought on the cheaper side, around 10 euros, so before paying any more money I would like to get some recommendations.
Loved: Salt (Albarino) . Butter (Chardonnay). Cream. Long aftertaste.
Liked: Stone/gravel, lime. Light body. Some oak.
Dislike: Tropical fruit. Too sweet. Too sour. Bold wines.
Hated: Petrol (Riesling), Cat pee, Brioche, massive rose aromas (Gewurztraminer).
So far I think I liked Albarino the most, and some Chardonnay, but nothing really hit the spot. If you have any other suggestions of grape varieties I'd love to hear about them and try. Thank you very much.
